About Pilgrim Congregational Church
Pilgrim Congregational Church is a member of the United Church of Christ, a worldwide, progressive Protestant denomination. Rooted in the Pilgrim tradition, we stress the freedom of each person to hear God speak and to see God acting in his or her life. And as people of faith, we stand in solidarity with the whole of creation, praying and working for justice and peace.
We are an Active and Community Focused Congregation!!

Our commitment to God is not just "talk the talk" but includes "walk the walk."
We are both praying AND working to bring God's love to the world and planet.
That's why Pilgrims are involved in The Crop Walk and Housing Forward (formery PADS), to mention only a few.
Here are some of the Crop Walkers preparing to step off from Pilgrim.
Pilgrim is known for its welcome and its sense of the holy. We believe that God's vision for us is to "be a home and to provide homes for all of God's people."
Though our church house is large and historic, our church home feels familiar, a place to be your self. We seek to build a strong community, where families of origin and families of choice are honored and enriched.
Here is some of the LGBTQ and Allies Ministry.
As individuals and as a community we believe it is critical to be outspoken against injustice and intolerance. We hope you will join your voice and shoulder with ours as we strive for a better world.

Our CONNECT program lets children sing and pray, feast and fellowship, hear stories of God and respond in a developmentally appropriate way.
Associate Pastor, Rev. Gloria Cox is the Minister of Youth and Young Adults.

Most new visitors to Plgrim find that they are not visitors long. There are countless ways to become involved in the community of Pilgrim Church.
From the choir loft to the kitchen, willing hands and open hearts are always welcome.
When you are ready, you can find your place at Pilgrim.
As we have received so we should give back. There are many ways, both formal and informal, in which Pilgrims share the abundance of God's bounty. Pilgrim makes an annual Habitat for Humanity trip, participates in the Oak Park homeless ministries and supports worldwide outreach efforts of the UCC.
Our Donut Ministry allows us to offer financial support to 23 local nonprofits every year.
In small and great ways, we hope you too will find the joy in giving of yourself.
Our community is made up of persons of many faith traditions and no religious affiliation at all. Our diversity brings us many blessings. As you'll see, Pilgrim's spirit doesn't come from required creeds or uniformity of belief, but from being together and belonging to God.
It is our hope that wherever you’ve been before, you’ll find your way to Pilgrim soon. Here, you can be your self and be at home.
You Are Welcome Here!
